has any one else find it odd that in a 2000pt game you seem to be using almost half a company? and that's for a very small battle on the strategic scale.

have you ever thought through how a small group of Marines would pacify an entire planet? really think about it, let say you have two squads and you are told to pacify modern earth. you get one thunderhawk, one rhino and for the ease of it let not worry about supplies. how would you pacify someplace like earth?

standard template construction, it use to be every were. all building were made by it. it's what allowed man to colonize the galaxy.
"The classic example is the standardised habitation unit, that was self-contained and self-sufficient, and could be built on virtually any world regardless of local conditions to keep humans within a standard Terran environment."

what dose an STC building look like? what do you think?

PS. not the ST constructor it's self.

Howling Griffon marine [Mar. 30th, 2008|09:05 pm]

I just thought I would share this.  I know I don't post all that often, or even comment but I do read through the posts here.  Anyway, after a short break I have decided to try and get back into painting again.  Thus I decided to paint a random marine, just built out of plastic pieces and then just a chapter.  After some deliberation I decided upon doing a chapter and colour scheme I rarely touch.  I decided upon a Howling Griffon.  Anyway, here is pre-paint:

I just joined and I was wondering if you could help me out? My husband is trying to find a good pic of the Dark Eldar skull logo. I don't know much about this, and I'm trying to find it to surprise him, so forgive my ignorance on the subject.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am putting the new chaos termie lord together, and I really am giving some heavy consideration to doing him in a Nurgle style.  its been awhile, since i have done anything with that scheme.

My question is this though.  Does anyone know of a way to do like dripping clear/colored slime?

Interesting interpretation questions... [Jan. 25th, 2008|12:18 pm]

For the new Orks, in the Nobz unit entry it says any member of the unit may take a Waaagh! banner. This obviously means you can take more than one (since armor and ammo runts are in the same section), but here's the rub: Does the +1 WS bonus stack?

For that matter, is the +1 WS bonus conferred to IC's that join the unit?

Semi-related questions: It doesn't state that the rerolls granted by Bosspoles & Squighounds must stand. Does that mean that you can suffer another wound (or kill another D3 Grotz) to reroll it again? i.e. Does the squighound or nob just rampage through the squad until enough have been beaten/eaten into submission? The way I've been playing it is that you can get a number of rerolls equal to the number of Bosspoles/Squighounds in the squad, which keeps excesses in check, but it matters a lot for Ork Boyz squads, because once they start testing for morale they're already under half strength and if they break they're toast.

I'd like to know your guys' thoughts.
